Do You Know What To Say When Someone Says No?
Do you go through emotional trauma because you don’t know what to say when someone says no to your product or service? Have you tried everything under the sun to convince or persuade them to join your opportunity even after they’ve made it clear that they would rather not? These are some of the behaviors of network marketers who don’t have an understanding of what this is all about.
Some Will, Some Won’t, So What, Next
The core of what network marketers do is expose people to their product, service and/or opportunity. Naturally, after seeing the presentation, people will say yes, people will say no and some may even be undecided. When someone says yes, it’s because they need or want your service or product. They’ve seen the value and benefits of the service or product and possibly the opportunity for residual income. You can sign them up or process their order right away.
For those undecided, they have to use the information you shared along with the benefits you’ve outlined in order to make a decision later on down the line. So, don’t write them off yet.
One of the difficulties they have is understanding that a no is not a bad thing. In fact, a no can be the best of things. Because it’s all a numbers game and you have to go through the people who won’t to get to the people who will.
Don’t Take It Personal When Some Won’t
The fact of the matter is that not everyone wants or needs what you’re selling. Time to get over that! If you expose someone to your product, service or opportunity and they say no, don’t get emotional about it. Don’t take it personal! Just understand that some people won’t. And they won’t because it’s simply not for them. Just like a second cup of coffee at the local cafe is not wanted or the horror film at the mall theater is not their type of movie. In these cases, it’s accepted that no just means not for them.
Move On To The Next Person
When someone says no, your next move is to continue to the next person. Your attitude must be “so what”. Don’t let it dampen your spirits or ruin your day. Simply thank them for taking a look and go to the next person and the next person and the next until you get that yes. Always remember that “some will, some won’t, so what, next!”
