HIGH-CONVERTING SALES COPY – 5 TIPS ON HOW IT’S DONE

high-converting sales copy

High-converting sales copy is something marketers crave. This is what will attract prospects and make them more likely to opt in to marketers’ offers thus increasing conversion rates. Both are what marketers strive for as they strategize their marketing plans. The big question is: how do you write high-converting sales copy?

hign-converting sales copyLet’s face it, there are courses given on the subject so how can one go about getting that done without going to class? Here, I will offer 5 tips on how to get it done:

5 Tips For High-Converting Sales Copy

  1. Ever heard of a “knock ’em dead” headline? This is the headline that instantly arouses curiosity in the prospect. After all, it is the first thing a prospect will see on your page. So it has to be exciting and interesting enough to make them want to continue. This headline must make a promise to the reader about some benefit in particular. It has to be evident of what you’re selling and what your offer is. The prospect must be able to visualize what it would be like having what you’re offering and there’s got to be some compelling element that makes the prospect decide to take immediate action. This is one way to achieve high-converting sales copy.
  2. Your call to action is the button you want the prospect to click. There have been numerous studies on this and what has been found is that people click more willingly when they know exactly what they’ll get in exchange for their contact information. Avoid ambiguous call to actions because they do not tell the prospect exactly what they will get. A few extra words can make all the difference. For example, instead of saying Sign Up, just a few more words like Sign Up For My Newsletter, can make a huge difference in the number of people who click. Another way to get high-converting sales copy.
  3. high-converting sales copyYou want your prospect to say “yes”. So you have to create the condition for the “yes” to happen. Generally speaking, people want to know what’s in it for them. They want to know exactly how this offer will benefit them before they spend a dime. It’s your job to, not only outline the benefits, but what will happen after the purchase is made. For example, if you’re selling garden hoses, you have to be able to tell the prospect the benefits of the garden hose. For example, it’s retractable, but also tell the prospect what will happen as a result of the purchase, for example, easier and quicker to put away. Telling your prospect the benefit and how it will impact him makes it an easy decision to buy. Another example of what makes high-converting sales copy.
  4. Keep it simple but effective. Too much fluff will cloud your offer and have your prospect wondering if the overexuberant message matches the actual benefit. Avoid using complex terminology and remember that your product should be able to speak its value for itself. High-converting sales copy once again.
  5. People want to be able to read quickly so make your copy easy to scan. Instead of writing a sales pitch, write something that will intrigue the prospect to want to work with you. Remember, you only have a few seconds to do the intriguing so use bullets, images or other tools that will make your sales copy easy to read quickly. Try this for high-converting sales copy.

Keeping these tips in mind to write high-converting sales copy will help make your message get to the right people and help them make the decision to buy.
